Lazy Days

One of my best friends from high school got married a couple weeks ago.  She was the first of my good friends to tie the knot and we had a blast.  The wedding was pretty.  Liz's style was all over the place from the cool architecture of the venue and great decorations to the fun music and laid back reception.  I was happy to be called one of the many bridesmaids.

Aw... reunited!
Look at that happy couple!
Having my three best friends from high school together for the weekend was a treat.  We don't get to see each other as much as we'd like, so the wedding was a welcome excuse to hang out.  Plus seeing Liz and Derek so happy to start their marriage made the rest of us glad we were part of it.

Since the wedding I've had lots of time at home to relax.  But what have I been up to?  So much reading and TV you'd think I'd be sick of it by now.  Here's a little of my life over the past two weeks:

Full of action and great twists.  No wonder they're making it into a movie soon.

My sister and I finally finished watching all the seasons of Gilmore girls.  We were at a loss for what to do next until we thought... Dawson's Creek.  So if anyone wants to help a sister out and let us borrow (who knew finding the seasons would be this hard?) we would gladly pay you in delicious food.

Did you know that How I Met Your Mother comes on almost every night?  I didn't before, but thanks to the super convenient DVR I've been watching tons of it.  Which means I get the whole story, just in a crazy order.

After reading the Hunger Games books I needed something new.  So I went looking all over my house and found For Women Only and For Men Only by Shaunti and Jeff Feldhahn.  The first was eye-opening and would be a good read for any woman.  After finishing it, I decided to try the second.  I ended up skipping around, but still found it pretty interesting anyway.  I think Shaunti had a great idea in sharing what she thought to be the most important "secrets" of men's minds.

In the last few days I've read the first two Harry Potter books.  After seeing the last movie, I didn't really want what had been part of my life since the 5th grade to be over.  So I started the whole thing over.  What can I say, I will always love HP.

On the list for the next couple weeks are:
the rest of Harry Potter
The Shack - Wm. Paul Young
The Book Thief - Markus Zusak
and the beginning of Dawson's Creek.

See ya from my favorite chair - JLD
